I'm a mathematician, educator, and curriculum designer with a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Purdue University. I've taught mathematics at both Purdue University and the University of Utah, and I work with students from middle school through college in subjects ranging from Pre-Algebra to Calculus.

What I enjoy most about teaching is the moment when something finally clicks, when a student makes a new connection and understands something they couldn't see before.

Mathematics is learned by doing. I create my own notes, worksheets, and practice materials for every topic I teach. Clear explanations paired with thoughtful practice help students develop a deeper understanding instead of simply memorizing procedures.

One thing that has always frustrated me about the way math is often taught is how rushed it can feel. Students often think they're supposed to know the answer immediately, when real mathematical thinking takes time. Some ideas need to be revisited. Some problems are worth sleeping on. Struggling with a concept isn't a sign that you're bad at math. It's an essential part of learning.

My goal is to help students build confidence, become stronger problem solvers, and enjoy mathematics a little more along the way.
